We as a community-based organization, we hatched a plan to empower our children through sustainable farming. The poultry project, aptly named "Egg of Life," aimed to supplement the children's diets with protein-rich eggs and generate some income for the organization
With the help of dedicated volunteers and donors, the project has took flight. The children learn valuable skills in chicken rearing, feeding, and healthcare. As the project grow, they develop confidence and a sense of purpose
As the project flourishes, opportunities unfold, and our Children are developing entrepreneurial skills, learning to manage finances and negotiate prices. Others discover passion for agriculture, aspiring to become future farmers and leaders.
From Hunger to Abundance
One of our children a twelve-year-old Nassiwa Shanitah, now proudly tends to the chickens. "I love collecting eggs from the coop," she beams. "It's like finding treasure every day!"
The eggs not only enrich the children's diet but also became a valuable source of income.We sell the excess eggs at local markets, generating funds to support education, healthcare, and other vital programs.
"Egg of Life" has became a symbol of hope and resilience, demonstrating that even in challenging circumstances, sustainable solutions can crack open doors to a brighter future.
